In Suddenly Free, nurse and author Jeanette Hyland shared her personal reflections on life and work on leprosy in Nepal from 1969, life in Hobart growing up, illness, depression, and loss, as well as speaking candidly as a single woman of reasons she never married.
Jeanette’s first book, Maids, Masters, and Magistrates traced the movements of her ancestors. Now she shifts to focus to her own life and the hard but essential work she did in Nepal during the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
