The Housesitter: Tara Marlow in conversation with Kew Gibson

Em McKinney is just trying to survive the spectacular media frenzy surrounding her divorce to her actor-husband, Callum Walsh. Escaping to her native Australia, Em signs up to housesit a beautiful farm in southern Tasmania, where she hopes to finish the cookbook she’s been dreaming of for years.

Surrounded by lovable dogs, quirky chickens, and Weetbix-loving goats, it’s almost too good to be believe. But when a malicious note arrives on her doorstep, along with nosy neighbours, Em’s insecurities begin to weigh in.

Born in Sydney, Tara Marlow spent twenty of her early adult years living in the United States. When her nest emptied in 2017, she travelled full-time for three years, as as a travel writer  and photographer. Today, Tara lives in southern Tasmania with her husband, where she focuses on writing women’s fiction and suspense novels.

Tara will be in conversation with Kew Gibson who, writing as Eva Scott, is the best-selling author of rural romcoms such as Lonely in Longreach, Meet Me in Bendigo and Home to Echidna Lane. A lifelong storyteller, she lived in Britain and PNG before coming home to Australia to train as a cultural anthropologist. Her latest novel, Lark Ascendant, branching into commercial fiction, and is about why we forget and how we remember.
